How Heroku uses Elixir
Heroku’s Vault team adopted Elixir for internal licensing and financial services, including invoicing and payments. It started with a rewrite of a service whose requirements and risks were already understood.
The team then used GenStage to audit large amounts of data. A separate front-end team followed a similar adoption path, beginning with a well-understood problem before extending its use of the language.
